Nizhny Novgorod shot 5-7 from deep in the first half going ahead in double-digits and kept the distance until the end for an 82-73 home win against Ventspils on Day 13 of Basketball Champions League.
Ivan Strebkov led the way with 19 points while Anton Astapkovich notched a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds in addition to Vladimir Dragicevic’s 13 points. For Ventspils, Ingus Jakovics nailed game-high 21 points.
Nizhny (6-7) won the second time this season against Ventspils (5-8) gaining a big advantage in the Group A playoff race with one Gameday left.
