Besiktas signed Turkish guard Birkan Batuk to a 1+1 deal, the club officially announced. By joining the Turkish team, Batuk is set to make his first Basketball Champions League appearance next season.
Batuk, 29, began the 2018-2019 with Anadolu Efes and was loaned to Pinar Karsiyaka in the first leg of the season. He averaged 10.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in the Turkish BSL League with the team from Izmir.
Batuk has spent the entirety of his professional career in Turkey. He carries an experience of six seasons playing in EuroLeague, mostly with powerhouse Anadolu Efes.
