Easy win for AEK in the opening week of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season.

AEK never looked back following its 20-3 run in the second quarter marching to the 102-82 victory against EB Pau-Lacq-Orthez at Athens’ OAKA Olympic Indoor Hall. The Queen nearly shot over 50% from three-point range on Wednesday finishing with 15/31.

Keith Langford led the way with 27 points in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season Group B Gameday 1 contest. The two-times Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy recipient made 11/13 from the field debuting in FIBA’s premier club competition.

Jonas Maciulis ended up with 17 points, Linos Chrysikopoulos and Howard Sant-Roos added on AEK’s third 100-point Champions League outing with 15 points apiece. Nikos Gkikas posted 12.

Ilias Papatheodorou’s side is up 1-0 to start the new BCL season dropping Laurent Vila’s team to 0-1. Matt Mobley put up a team-high 25 points in losing effort, Tyrus McGee scored 14 and Ronald Moore 11.
