Telekom Baskets Bonn buried 11 threes and recorded an 85-71 home win over Casademont Zaragoza in Basketball Champions League Group D.
Branden Frazier scored 15 points for the victors while Stephen Zimmerman added 13 and Bojan Subotica 11 points (all 11 in the first half).
For Zaragoza, Robin Benzing scored 17 in addition to Nemanja Radovic’s 11 and D.J. Seeley’s ten points.
Bonn recently eliminated Bayern Munich from the German Cup and they’ve continued strong this game as well. They were ahead 24-14 after ten minutes and 43-38 at halftime.
It was a balanced effort from both sides in the third quarter (61-55) but the hosts took over in the final period leading by as much as 22 points (85-63). All Zaragoza could do was soften the blow with an 8-0 run at the end.
