Basketball Champions League’s Group D is getting complicated in Telekom Basket Bonn’s delight.

Underdog status suited Telekom Baskets Bonn at the Palais des Sports de Dijon, indeed led Thomas Pach’s club to the 78-66 victory on Tuesday evening.

Benjamin Simmons paced the visitors with a team-high 16 points including a couple of threes early in the fourth quarter. Miami alumni Trey McKinney-Jones followed with 14 points to his name, Stephen Zimmerman posted 12 and Bojan Subotic 11.

Bonn dropped an early double-digit lead, but regained control in the third quarter and steadily built on its lead down the stretch.

Rasheed Sulaimon put up a game-high 20 points, but losing the battle for rebounds, 37-22, at home cost Laurent Legname’s club the Basketball Champions League Regular Season Gameday 6 contest.

Both teams are now 4-2 in Group D.
