Like it already happened in the summer of 2024 on the road to the Olympic Games in Paris, Team USA will once again count on the availability of a EuroLeague player.
While last year it occurred to Nigel Hayes-Davis, who trained with a stacked American national team featuring LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Kevin Durant as the brightest stars of the roster, this time it’s the case of a defensive specialist currently playing in Europe.
According to SDNA, Jerian Grant received the invitation to play with Team USA at the FIBA AmeriCup 2025, which will be played in late August.
From his side, the player looks enthusiastic about the proposal, and on the other end, Panathinaikos doesn’t want to deprive him of such great pride.
While Team USA will go up against Brazil, Uruguay, and the Bahamas in the competition, there are also other countries participating: Argentina, Panama, Venezuela, Canada, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Nicaragua, which will host the event.
