Having to go through the qualifying stage for the Quarter-Finals at FIBA AfroBasket 2025, Cape Verde beat Tunisia 87-54, getting among the Top 8 best national teams on the continent.

Edy Tavares had 6 points and 7 rebounds, while Keven Gomes, Joel Almeida, and Anderson Correia all scored 14 points. They will now face Angola.

Later on tonight, Cameroon beat the Republic Democratic of the Congo 77-68 with Yves Missi’s 20 points and 12 rebounds to face Egypt in the tournament’s Quarter-Finals.

Brancou Badio’s Senegal eliminated South Sudan

Previously, there was quite a shocker as Senegal took down South Sudan 78-65, eliminating last year’s Olympic Games participants from contention.

Valencia‘s Brancou Badio was the absolute protagonist, as he pushed his country with 31 points.

Alpha Diallo had a monster double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds for Guinea yesterday, but they got eliminated by Mali with a 70-67 win.
