Velicka is just 17 but plays in the Spanish Second Division (LEB Oro) with Barcelona B. And tonight he delivered one impressively plethoric display that also had a game-winning quality to it.

With a triple-double of 12 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds (in less than 33 minutes) he paced Lithuania towards a 72 – 60 victory over Italy and directly into the tournament’s semifinals.

Michele Ebeling led Italy with 13 points.

Velicka is en route to at least All-Team honors since he averages 14.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game so far in the tournament.
