As reported by “L’Equipe” the clubs express their “greatest indignation” about the situation of international basketball.

According to the text, there is sports inequity in the World Cup qualification games because of the missing NBA and EuroLeague players which force “certain strong nations in the history of our sport to present their third or fourth best team”.

Also in the text, it’s mentioned that “the EuroCup remains an attractive competition, the supposed rise in financial power of the BCL is not perceptible (the guaranteed repayments for the clubs entered in the group phase have even decreased) and the Euroleague is indisputably the point of reference of the clubs’ competitions logically leading our clubs to wonder about which conduct should be held in the near future”.

The clubs demand negotiations with EuroLeague which are an “a necessity absolute ”
