Josh Richardson has reached a deal with Casademont Zaragoza for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, with a ten-day trial, the team announced on Friday.
The FIBA Europe Cup and ACB participant emerged as the first overseas experience of his career. The Tennessee product was drafted by the Miami Heat with the 40th overall pick in 2015 and went on to log 584 appearances in the NBA, including 30 in the Playoffs. He was a Heat player from 2015 to 2019 and from 2023 to 2025, with briefer stops at the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans, Philadelphia 76ers, and Dallas Mavericks between 2015 and 2023.
Over the last ten years in the North American league, Richardson tallied 11.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game, including 4.0 points, 1.5 assists, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per contest over eight games with the Heat last season. Since last February, he has been an unrestricted free agent.

Taking his talents to Zaragoza, the 32-year-old wing is joining the team coached by 46-year-old Jesus Ramirez at the bottom end of Spain’s Liga Endesa Regular Season and in the second round of the Europe Cup. A 6-10 W-L tally ranks 14th in the ACB standings, three games over the relegation and under the Playoffs zones. A 1-2 record in Europe Cup’s Group N sits third ahead of winless Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari and behind Aliaga Petkimspor and Peristeri Betsson, with the top two advancing to the Quarterfinals.
