The Italian Basketball Federation announced the selections made by Luca Banchi for a mini-camp in Rome, between October 20 and 22.
The three-day camp precedes an approaching FIBA window to launch the Qualifiers of the FIBA World Cup 2027.
Fifteen players were selected to participate in a daily practice schedule behind closed doors, culminating in a scrimmage against RSR Sebastiani Rieti, a team of the second-tier division of Italy, as announced by FIP on Wednesday.

“The desire to involve as many players as possible with the national team,” national team coordinator Luigi Datome revealed the goal of the mini-camp.
Moving to a six-game double-legged round-robin schedule in Group D of the World Cup Qualifiers, the first official fixture with a new selector in charge is against Iceland in Tortona on November 27.
