Greece is in Group B of the European Qualifiers, opposite Montenegro, Portugal, and Romania. Next week’s FIBA window features clashes with Romania in Thessaloniki on Thursday and a trip to Matosinhos to face Portugal three days later.
Upon the completion of a six-game double-legged round-robin schedule, the top three seeds will advance, carrying their respective W-L tallies to Group I and joining the top three from Group A’s Denmark, Georgia, Spain, and Ukraine. Another six-game schedule will decide three tickets to the final stage of the World Cup.
