After almost two years, Crvena zvezda’s forward is back in the national team

The head coach of the Serbian senior national team Dusan Alimpijevic has announced a list of 23 candidates for the February FIBA qualifying window for the World Cup.

The list includes: Danilo Andjusic (Aris), Aleksa Avramovic (Dubai), Filip Barna (FMP), Nemanja Dangubic (Dubai), Dejan Davidovac (Crvena zvezda), Ognjen Dobric (Crvena zvezda), Savo Drezgic (Mega), Asim Djulovic (Mega), Strahinja Gavrilovic (Igokea), Nikola Kalinic (Crvena zvezda), Balsa Koprivica (Bahcesehir), Arijan Lakic (Partizan), Bogoljub Markovic (Mega), Dusan Miletic (Cluj), Stefan Miljenovic (Crvena zvezda), Luka Mitrovic (CSKA), Stefan Momirov (Spartak), Pavle Nikolic (Borac Cacak), Jovan Novak (King Szczecin), Aleksej Pokusevski (Partizan), Dusan Ristic (Kawasaki Brave Thunders), Nikola Tanaskovic (Budućnost), and Uros Trifunovic (Turk Telekom).

Certainly the most notable name is Nikola Kalinic, who has not played for Serbia’s national team for some time

 

The Serbian national team will host the Turkish team on February 27  at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, and will then visit the European vice-champion on March 2 in Istanbul. Serbia has won against the national teams of Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first two rounds.
