Bouncing back from a disappointing loss in the FIBA World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers, the United States put on a show

In Window 2 of the FIBA World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers, the United States bounced back from a loss to the Dominican Republic by defeating Mexico 123-88. David Roddy scored 20 points at Oceanside’s Frontwave Arena to secure the win on Sunday.

In more Group A action, the Dominican Republic improved to 3-1 after a decisive 86-61 victory over Nicaragua. Joan Soriano dominated the second half, finishing with 17 points and nine rebounds to lead the visitors to a win in Managua.

Canada remained undefeated at 4-0 in Group B following a commanding 97-81 win against Jamaica. Marcus Carr fueled the offense with 17 points and seven assists, silencing the crowd at Kingston’s National Indoor Sports Center with a stellar performance.

Puerto Rico secured its first Group B win, edging out the Bahamas 71-66 in San Juan. Ismael Romero’s massive 20-point double-double proved decisive, helping his team overcome a strong 19-point effort from Kai Jones at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum.
