France defeated Sweden 79-69 in Stockholm to record their seventh win in eight games of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers.
Sweden made the stronger start and led 24-20 after the opening quarter, before France drew level by halftime. The hosts still held a narrow advantage late in the third period, but Les Bleus took control with a 24-15 final quarter.
Victor Wembanyama led the winners with 18 points, eight rebounds and three blocks, shooting 6-of-7 from the field. Maxime Raynaud and Matthew Strazel added 13 points apiece, while Jaylen Hoard finished with 10. Rudy Gobert did not play.

Pelle Larsson paced Sweden with a game-high 23 points, while Ludde Hakanson scored 16. Viktor Gaddefors contributed nine points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
