By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

It all started in Vilnius, where Lithuania managed to secure an important victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina with a 78-73 score.

Despite entering this qualifying window without almost all of their key players – including Domantas Sabonis, Matas Buzelis, Jonas Valanciunas, and Kasparas Jakucionis, the Lithuanians achieved a crucial win that keeps them in the race for a World Cup spot.

Although Bosnia led for most of the first half, the hosts turned things around in the second half and clinched the victory on the wings of Azuolas Tubelis.

Tubelis was the top scorer of the game with 23 points, while Augustas Marciulionis, son of the legendary Sarunas, scored 16 points. Gytis Radzevicius also reached double digits with 11 points. On the other side, Jusuf Nurkic scored 20 points, and only Luka Garza joined him in double figures with 14 points and seven rebounds.
