Those nine players and also Andrew Albicy, Boris Diot, Mustapha Fall, Edwin Jackson, Charles Kahudi, Louis Laveyrie are called by the French national team to play in the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifying games.
In the announcement of the list, the French federation includes an extended roster of 24 players. Some of them “will be called” if the EuroLeague players are not able to compete in the upcoming windows. Ιt has to be noted that the extended list includes one more EuroLeague players, Mathias Lessort of Crvena Zvezda.
The rest of the players are Axel Bouteille, Mouhammadou Jaiteh, Axel Julien, Alain Koffi, Lahaou Konate, Amine Noua and Elie Okobo, The France will face Bosnia on the 27th of November.
The EuroLeague teams recently re-affirmed that they decided to not alter their schedule in order to comply with the FIBA calendar. Montenegro also called EuroLeague players for the national team games and the rest of the national federations are expected to follow.
