Once more the hosts prevailed in the preparation games for the upcoming World Cup. France got the win over Greece and Lithuania crushed Finland. Also Serbia beat Croatia thanks to a three pointer by Bogdanovic and Ukraine lost to Australia

Once more the hosts prevailed in the preparation games for the upcoming World Cup. France got the win over Greece and Lithuania crushed Finland. “Les Bleus” still without Boris Diaw prevailed easily despite the final score (81-73) which flatters Greece. Thomas Heurtel with 15 and Nando De Colo with 14 points were the top scorers for the winners. Kostas Papanikolaou had 18 points for the losing side.

Also in Pau, Serbia beat Croatia 84-83 in a game decided by a three pointer by Fenerbahce/ Ulker’s Bogdan Bogdanovic. However it was the night of Marco Simonovic who finished the game with 24 points. Nets‘ Bojan Bogdanovic who finished the season at Fenerbahce had 19 points for Croatia.

In Kaunas Jonas Valanciunas made his debut in preparation games with a double double (20 p., 11 r.) in the 83-66 win over Finland. Also Australia beat Ukraine (75-60) as young point guard Dante Exum of Utah Jazz was the top scorer with 14 points in a balanced team effort.
