Serbian national team for WC Qualifiers is announced

Only two NBAers are out of Serbia’s preliminary squad.

Serbia head coach Aleksandar Djordjevic announced the national team’s preliminary roster which consists of 25 players he will count on in the preparations for the June-July windows of FIBA World Cup 2019 Qualifiers.

The Serbian national team will get some help from three NBA players like LA Clippers guard Milos Teodosic, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Nemanja Bjelica, and LA Clippers center Boban Marjanovic. On the other side, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic won’t be able to join the squad due to the contract situation with his team while Sacramento Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic has to recover from an arthroscopic procedure.

The Serbian national team preliminary roster is as follows:

Nemanja Bjelica (Minesota Timberwolves), Milos Teodosic (LA Clippers), Boban Marjanovic (LA Clippers), Nemanja Nedovic (Unicaja), Dragan Milosavljevic (Unicaja), Marko Guduric (Fenerbahce), Nikola Kalinic (Fenerbahce), Stefan Jovic (Bayern), Vladimir Lucic (Bayern), Luka Mitrovic (Bamberg), Dejan Musli (Bamberg), Marko Simonovic (Zenit), Miroslav Raduljica (Jiangsu Dragons), Nikola Milutinov (Olympiacos), Vasilije Micic (Zalgiris), Stefan Peno (Alba), Aleksa Avramovic (Varese), Dejan Todorovic (Bilbao), Stevan Jelovac (Niznhy Novgorod), Ilija Djokovic (Borac Cacak), Ognjen Dobric (Crvena zvezda), Aleksa Radanov (Crvena zvezda), Dejan Davidovac (Crvena zvezda), Djordje Gagic (Partizan), Nikola Miskovic (Mega Bemaks).

Serbia will travel to Tbilisi where they are scheduled to play against Georgia on 29th of June and for the second game they’ll host Germany in Novi Sad on 2nd of July.
