Kostas Sloukas is practicing in the YMCA gym of Thessaloniki and he spoke about his decision to play again for the Greek national team in the September “window”.
As he said: “I will be present in the September games of the national team and that’s what I want. I have already informed my team and coach, I have asked for permission and I will be there”. This will be the first time that Sloukas will be able to compete in the qualifiers, due to the EuroLeague schedule of his team, Fenerbahce, and also because he needed rest in June after the end of the season.
Sloukas and Nick Calathes emerged as the new leaders of the Greek national team during Eurobasket 2017. Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo is also expected to be present for the September games.
