After France one day ago, Spain is also not perfect anymore, after losing to Ukraine thanks to an amazing Svi Mykhailiuk.

However, the team that’s really in trouble is Croatia after losing at home to Lithuania, which played without any NBA players. After this result, Lithuania needs just one more win in order to qualify to China. Also, Italy which beat Poland thanks to 28 points by Amadeo Della Valle (8/11 3p.) has the advantage in the qualification race, being second in Group J with a 5-2 record.

In Group I, Latvia beat Slovenia behind 18 points and 10 assists by Janis Strelnieks and there’s a tie in the second place with Turkey, which beat Montenegro. Spain still leads the group despite the defeat by Ukraine.

Group I

Ukraine – Spain 76-65
Latvia – Slovenia 85-74
Turkey – Montenegro 79-69
