Thanks to a team effort and defense, Italy kept Hungary low and got the 75-41 win, which equals two spots in China for the winners and also for Poland which beat Croatia earlier.

Croatia is out of the World Cup and the same applies to Ukraine which lost to Montenegro by two points (76-74) despite leading even by 20.

Naturalized guard Derek Needham with 26 points was the hero of the night for the winners, which now have to beat Latvia or lose by eight or fewer points in the game which will decide which of the two teams will take the last ticket to China from Group I.
