Despite reports mentioning that Cory Joseph will miss the World Cup, Canada head coach Nick Nurse confirmed that the player will join the selection.
Australian journalist John Casey spoke with Nurse during Canada’s World Cup exhibition games in Sydney, and the coach confirmed Joseph has his flights booked to China, hence the initial reports seem to be incorrect.
Having said that, the FIBA World Cup is just 10 days away and Joseph has missed the whole training camp of the Canadian national team. It remains to be seen if he will end up being part of the team after this absence.
