Patty Mills has a terrific run in the World Cup, though he wasn’t on the final All-Star Five team.

Patty Mills couldn’t help Australia win a medal in the third-place game against France, though he finished FIBA World Cup with averages of 22.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.

An overall terrific performance that could have earned him a spot in the All-Star Five of the tournament, next to MVP Ricky Rubio.

In fact, as the player commented on his twitter account, he was told by the Australian Federation that he made the All-Star Five after the game.

Then the award ceremony followed and the best team of the tournament was completed Bogdan Bogdanovic, Evan Fournier, Marc Gasol, and Luis Scola.

Nonetheless, as Mills stated, this was “not the ultimate award he was after”.
