On Friday it was posted in basketplus.gr that Vladimiros Jankovic has already agreed with Panathinaikos to sign a three years contract for a total compensation of 750.000 euros. The 23 years old forward is having an amazing season in the Greek league as a player of Panionios, having 12.7 ppg, 6,9 rpg, 2 asp and 1 bpg in 25 mpg. He is also a very efficient “sniper”, shooting 60% in two pointers, 40% in threes and 81% in free throws.
The post was denied by every side involved, something more than expecting since the play offs in the Greek league are about to start and the two teams, Panathinaikos and Panionios, are expected to play each other in the semifinals. However, according to Eurohoops sources for the Greek forward is attracting interest from many clubs, including Real Madrid, however Panathinaikos has already made its move, putting a very good offer on the table and the Greens should be considered the favorites to sign the player right after the end of the season.
