After three months in Istanbul, as a player of Besiktas, Deron Williams still loves the city. The Nets super star is back in town and he is attending the Euroleague Final Four! Just after the start of the second quarter in the semifinal game between Panathinaikos and CSKA Moscow, Williams entered the “Sinan Erdem Arena” with his wife and he is watching the game, sitting in a courtside seat.
Deron has also one more important connection to the Final Four. Mikhail Prokhorov, the Russian owner of Brooklyn Nets is also the financial supporter of CSKA Moscow, a club that still technically belongs to the Russian army. So you can have the rumor mill turing again for Kirilenko and his flirt with the Nets, because there’s also Nets GM Billy King in Istanbul.
