AEK grabbed a narrow victory over Rethymno in the Greek League.

Vassilis Toliopoulos handed AEK a tough 84-83 victory over Rethymno at home with a pair of free throws made in the last three seconds of the game.

AEK made a great comeback to the game in the fourth period, paced by Mario Chalmers who gets the game MVP honors with 26 points, six rebounds and four assists. Linos Chrysikopoulos added to the hosts’ efforts with 17 points and four rebounds.

Conner Frankamp paced the visiting side with 25 points, though Rethymno fell short in the fourth period.

Earlier in the round, Panathinaikos defeated Aris on the road to remain on top of the standings with a 16-2 record.

AEK follows in the course of the standings with a 14-4 record, Promitheas holds a 12-6 record and Peristeri completes the Top 4 spots with 11-7.
