Making key long-range shots is a family trend, Devonte Green proves in Greece

NBA sharpshooter Danny Green will enjoy watching his younger brother, Devonte, launching his professional career in Greece with a game-winning buzzer-beater Saturday. The 23-year-old guard coming out of Indiana lifted his side to victory in Greece’s Basket League opening round.

Following his recent Greek Cup outing with Messolonghi Baxi, rookie Green moved on to the domestic league putting up 10 points in his debut. His win-clinching three followed Mario Chalmers knotting the game at 70 with three free throws for Aris.

His older brother, Danny, has made 40% of his shots from beyond the arc through his 688 NBA Regular Season appearances since 2009. His effective shooting helped the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, the Toronto Raptors in 2019, and the Los Angeles Lakers this season in the Orlando bubble to capture the championship.
