A two-game sweep punches Olympiacos to the next round of the Stoiximan Basket League

Olympiacos made short work of Peristeri Vitabiotics on the way to the 92-57 victory Friday night.

Sasha Vezenkov rushed to a double-double early in the second half ending up with 15 points and 11 rebounds to his name. Tyler Dorsey scored 13 points. Kostas Sloukas threw in ten more points and dished out seven assists in Game 2 of the Stoiximan Basket League Quarterfinals best-of-three series.

Former Stephen F. Austin standout Thomas Walkup registered nine points and four assists in the one-sided affair. Hassan Martin put in nine points and Livio Jean-Charles had eight points. Moustapha Fall and Giorgos Printezis produced seven points apiece.

The team guided by Giorgos Bartzokas ranked fourth in the recent 2022 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four, moved on to the next round of the Greek league’s Playoffs.

Shaquielle McKissic was limited to 1:44 due to an injury on his right foot. Despite the early exit, the 31-year-old swingman is expected to be cleared to return to action and be part of the upcoming best-of-five series versus Promitheas.

The team based in Patras, Panathinaikos OPAP, and Larisa had already completed a two-game sweep to progress to the Semifinals. The Reds taking on Promitheas and the Greens versus Larisa shape the updated bracket.

Kolossos H Hotels, AEK, and Aris alongside Peristeri were eliminated in the first round of the Playoffs. PAOK mateco, Lavrio Megabolt, Apollon Oscar, and Ionikos ranked outside the Playoffs zone. At the bottom of the regular-season table, Iraklis was relegated.
