Dimitris Giannakopoulos cannot attend Game 5 of the Greek League Finals. The same applied in Game 4, as the sports judge of the league decided to ban him from entering sports arenas for three months.

Olympiacos has filed a complaint for Giannakopoulos’ comments on social media, the Greek referees association did the same and the decision of the sports judge was announced just hours before Game 4.

Giannakopoulos also received a fine of 30.000 euros and Panathinaikos another 50.000 euros “for detrimental behavior towards sports’ due to the reaction of Ergin Ataman after Game 1.

Meanwhile, for the same justification Olympiacos was fined and will pay 10.000 euros for the incidents in Game 3, while fines were also imposed on Thomas Walkup (3.000 euros) and Isaiah Canaan (5.000 euros) for their incident with Kostas Sloukas.

Panathinaikos side asked for the postponement of the procedure with no success and Giannakopoulos insisted that due to the timing of the decision, he could be attending Game 4, but he didn’t out of his wish to calm things down.
