Following the expected 2-0 win in the series by Panathinaikos over Promitheas Patras, Olympiacos did the same against AEK, which recently hosted the Basketball Champions League Final Four.
After winning 87-85 at home in Piraeus, Georgios Bartzokas’ team took care of business in an easier and more relaxed way, controlling in the second half to eventually win 90-64 in SUNEL Arena.
As expected, Sasha Vezenkov had a dominant performance, finishing with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds while also sharing 6 assists.
Alec Peters (16 points and 6 rebounds), Giannoulis Larentzakis (11 points and 4 rebounds), and Nazareth Mitrou-Long (10 points) also contributed to Olympiacos‘ victory to finish the series at 2-0.
Hunter Hale was the black-and-yellow team’s highest scorer, finishing with a 14-point losing effort. Rayjon Tucker had a solid night too, adding 11 points and 5 rebounds.
Waiting for the EuroLeague Final Four in Abu Dhabi, where they will respectively face AS Monaco and Fenerbahce, it will be once again a clash between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos in the Greek Basket League Finals.
