Sasha Vezenkov was helped off the court after a right ankle injury, with 1:13 remaining in the first half of a meeting between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos Aktor.
Winning the Stoiximan GBL Finals, the Reds clinched a 15th domestic league championship in team history with a win in the Peace and Friendship Stadium, overcoming his early exit on Sunday.
“It’s a sprain,” said 29-year-old Vezenkov in a postgame interview with Greek public television, ERT, “But I don’t care about the injury right now. I am very happy for my team.”
Logging 15 minutes in Game 4, he tallied two points, one rebound, one assist, and one block. He returned to the bench after the break and initial medical tests to support his teammates en route to a championship-clinching win.
