With both teams having nothing at stake in the standings—since regardless of the result Panathinaikos would definitely finish second and Mykonos BC seventh (meaning they will face each other in the playoffs)—Ergin Ataman rested several players (Sloukas, Faried, Juancho, Osman) ahead of the Valencia game and gave playing time to others who needed it, such as Lessort, Samodurov (who returned after two months), and Grigonis, comfortably winning the game 97-76.
The priority, after all, was to avoid any issues before Game 1 of the EuroLeague playoffs in Valencia, and Panathinaikos essentially used this game as a solid practice session for that matchup.
The depth and quality of the “greens” roster were enough to give them a 15-point lead in the first half, with coach Ataman using 11 of his 12 players (except Kouzeloglou), distributing minutes evenly.
Notably, Kendrick Nunn played only in the first quarter just to… break a sweat, then watched the rest of the game from the bench.
Rogkavopoulos, with his long-range shooting (15 points) and strong performance, helped Panathinaikos surpass the 20-point margin (+23), while Khalid Moore delivered an excellent second half, keeping Mykonos as competitive as possible under the circumstances.
Mykonos’ Khalid Moore, with 20 points, was the top scorer of the game.
The gap remained at that level for the rest of the game, which ultimately turned into a formality and ended 97–76, with Panathinaikos fans already calling for a road win in Valencia.
