Panathinaikos needed a strong fourth-quarter response to see off Karditsa and preserve their perfect start to the Greek league season, despite beginning the campaign with a two-point deduction.
Zeljko Obradovic’s side outscored the visitors 28–8 in the final period to claim a 78–64 victory, having trailed 50–56 after three quarters.
Playing less than 46 hours after facing Baskonia, the Greens struggled for energy and shot just 1-of-11 from beyond the arc in the first half. Karditsa capitalized, with Jordan McRae and Turner leading the visitors to an 11-point advantage.
Kendrick Nunn, Mathias Lessort and Yabusele turned the game around in the fourth, with a 12–0 run putting the result beyond doubt. Yabusele finished with 22 points, Nunn added 12, and Kostas Sloukas contributed three points and nine assists. McRae led Karditsa with 18 points, while Turner scored 14.
