After Panathinaikos parted ways with Sasa Djordjevic last night, the Greek club reached an agreement with Argiris Pedoulakis for the remainder of the season.

Pedoulakis had previously been the coach of Panathinaikos from July 2012 to March 2014. He won one Greek Basket League championship title (2013) and two Greek Cup trophies (2013, 2014) during that period.

It’s ironic but Pedoulakis was fired after losing a Euroleague game to Laboral Kutxa and now the team hired him again, after an other loss also by Laboral Kutxa. Pedoulakis is considered one of the most respected Greek coaches and a defensive specialists. He is also a former player of Panathinaikos, however he spend the most of his coaching career as an icon on the bench of Peristeri BC.
