Olympiacos had it easy against seven-man squad Trikala due to financial issues. Giannis Sfairopoulos’ team improved to a 12-4 record with the 98 – 73 win while Trikala remains with just 3 victories in the Greek League.

Nikola Milutinov was impressive as he finished with 20 points and 18 rebounds. Kostas Papanikolaou had 17 points, Ioannis Papapetrou contributed with 16 and 7 boards and Georgios Printezis added 15 and 9 rebounds.

Xavier Thames led Trikala in scoring with 21.

The home side stood strong for 16 minutes (34 – 31) but Olympiacos finished the first half with a 14 – 3 run that almost decided the game. The Red-Whites managed a comfortable double-digit lead during the entire second period and got the win.

Over the day, AEK got a huge win over Rethymno in Creta 95 – 90 with Manny Harris leading the way with 23 points. Dimitris Mavroidis contributed to the victory with 18 and 10 boards. Stefan Moody’s 25 points weren’t enough for the hosts.
