Panathinaikos defeated PAOK in the final of the Greek Cup in Herakleion and seized its 19th overall with a 79-73 victory.
Nick Calathes paced the winners with 19 points and nine assists winning also the MVP award, while Keith Langford added 17 points for Rick Pitino’s squad.
PAOK’s William Hatcher scored a game-high of 23 points.
The Greek Cup leaves us with a deafening aftertaste, following Olympiacos‘ departure from the first semifinal, its punishment in the Greek league and Panathinaikos‘ owner inappropriate action on Olympiacos‘ bench.
