Rethymno prevailed over visiting AEK Athens with a 75 – 67 victory in the Greek League, paced by a 19-point performance of Andreas Christodoulou. Keith Langford posted 17 points and three rebounds for AEK.

After this result, AEK is tied for the last spot of the standings with a 1-4 record.

Earlier in Round 5, Jimmer Fredette and Panathinaikos prevailed over Aris.

After five weeks of action, Panathinaikos and Peristeri remain the only two undefeated teams in the League, while Promitheas follows in the standings with a 4-1 record.
