Yanick Moreira sat down with Eurohoops and discussed several topics, including his wish for AEK to push through the remainder of the 2020-21 season without facing any more injuries.

“I just wish all my teammates stay healthy. That’s what I want right now for Christmas,” he said in the interview conducted a few days before December 25.

Moreira, 29, among the top performers for the Queen in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season so far is averaging 18 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest.

“Everybody is just welcoming me in the locker room and we talk,” he said regarding him fitting into the AEK squad packed with experienced players, “Just to have six or seven guys who played in the EuroLeague in the locker room, it helped me a lot. I am really not doing so much. I am just staying there, asking questions, and trying to be better every day.”

The discussion spilled into playing and traveling through the coronavirus pandemic, the shortened schedule of the BCL season, and more.
