As Turkish journalist Ismail Senol reported first via twitter, coach Ergin Ataman extended his contract with Galatasaray for the next two seasons. After his meeting with the board of the club a new deal was made and the outlines of the future have been decided.
As the basketball section director Can Topsakal said: “We have to tight our belts, but we are going to build a team which will fight for the championship title. We are negotiating with Odeabank and we expected to have a budget between 6 and 7 million US dollars”. In theory this kind of budget is above the Euroleague financial fairplay limit and Galatasaray can hope even for a wildcard, if they can provide the financial guarantees.
