Until the start of the second half of the fifth semifinal vs Dinamo Sassari, the season looked lost for Olimpia Milano. However, Samuels and Gentile bounced back and the champs are still alive (95-88) though Sassari still needs one more victory to reach the finals, having a 3-2 wins lead.

Dinamo Sassari had great confidence in the first minutes of the game and was leading by double digits until 23′ (60-50) behind Logan’s (21 p), Lawal’s (13p) and Sosa’s (14p) great game. Daniel Hackett was sitting on the bench unable to help his team because of his  two-games ban after his verbal attack to referee Luigi Lamonica in Game 4.

The duo of Alessandro Gentile (25 p with 11/17 2ps, 9 rebs, 5 assists) and Samardo Samuels (24 p. with 9/12 2ps, 9 rebs) stepped up and Milano took the lead (69-63, 29′) with partial score 19-3! Sassari couldn’t answered, but has two more chances to get the win that will give them the ticket to the finals. The next game will be held in Sardegna and Hackett will be out again.
