One of the biggest upsets this year in Europe was concluded at Milano. The hosts forced a Game 7, only to lose it in overtime (86-81) to Dinamo Sassari which got the ticket the the Legabasket finals.
EA7 Milano was dominating the regular season, but the story was different against Sassari which stayed alive in a very close game. Jerome Dyson made one free throw and missed the second on purpose (75-73), got the offensive rebound, but not the tip in and his teammate Rakim Sanders saved the day on the buzzer and send the game to overtime (75-75).
Dyson was the top scorer of the winners (21 p.), Sanders and David Logan scored 16 points each and Shane Lawal had 12 points and 21 rebounds. Samardo Samuels had 25 points and 9 rebounds for EA7 Milano, Joe Rangland added 16 points and Alessandro Gentile had just 10 points on 4/15 shots.
