Maccabi Haifa with former Panathinaikos‘ player Pat Calathes scoring 14 points and grabbing 8 rebounds tried its best in order to challenge Maccabi Tel Aviv and for three quarters the game was undecided. However the Israeli champions managed to get the 76-64 win despite their fans’ mind (photo) and probably their own being in the next Euroleague game. Maccabi Tel Aviv has a 14-1 record, Maccabi Haifa is third with 9-6 and Hapoel Eilat is between them (10-5).
