It’s not news that Maccabi Tel Aviv is the boss on the court in Israel and it was proven also in the last two gamedays, as the “team of the people” leads the league with a 21-3 record, over second placed Hapoel Eilat (16-9). On top of that Maccabi T.A.’s president Simon Mizrahi (photo) will also serve as a temporary president of the league (IBA) after the resignation of Avner Kopel on Thursday, because of his disagreements with other members of the league board.
