The “Red Wings” from Russia got the Eurochallenge trophy after beating in the final Turkish team Karsiyaka, which was also the host of the Final Four, in Izmir. In the third place game EWE Oldenburg beat the leader of the French ProA Gravelines

Tre Simmons was the MVP and Krasnye Krylie (photo) beat Karsiyaka in the final of Eurochallenge just by a point (77-76). Simmons and Dejuan Collins scored 18 points each for the winners, as the Russian team managed to beat the Turkish club which was also the host of Eurochallenge’s Final Four. Former Ohio State sharp shooter Jon Dielber had the last shot and the chance to win the game of Karsiyaka, but he missed. Bobby Dixon with 23 points was the top scorer for the losing side. In the third place game EWE Oldenburg from Germany beat the leader of the French ProA Gravelines 84-76.
