Before getting drafted – despite him having second thoughts about staying in the draft – Dario Saric (photo) celebrated his first championship in professional club level. His team Cibona, led by American point guard Jerel Blassingame (20 p.) got the 101-83 triumph over Zadar and with 2-0 wins got the Croatian league title. Saric had 19 points and 12 rebounds.
In Bosnia, the surprise team of Adriatic league, Igokea, got the title by 3-2 over Siroki, by beating them in Game 5 by five points (74-69). Igokea is expected to participate in next season’s Eurolague qualifying round.
