The season ended in VTB League with CSKA Moscow as the champion. The team of coach Ettore Messina, despite not having the home court advantage, got the title with a 3-0 sweep over Niznhy Novgorod by winning Game 3 (82-66) at home.
Russian center Sasha Kaun with 20 points was the top scorer of CSKA, while Milos Teodosic added 16 points and 6 assists. This was the last game of coach Messina with CSKA Moscow, as he is expected to be released despite having a contract for next season, in order to sign with the Spurs.
Teodosic whose contract expires, was also named VTB league’s play offs MVP.
