ΕΑ7 Milano did the best they could, but in the end Barcelona got the win and Valencia managed to keep a lead throughout the game in order to get the valuable win over Galatasaray which gives them Top16 hopes.
Alex Abrines was the hero of the game for Barcelona as he made the score 81-80 with 39 seconds left. In the next possession Samardo Samuels missed his shot and with 8 seconds left Nicolo Melli was called for an unsportsmanlike foul over Abrines. With 3/4 free throws, one by Abrines and two by Doellman the final score was decided (84-80) and EA7 Milano lost the chance for a big road win.
Valencia started the game with a 27-17 advantage over Galatasaray, managed to stop Carlos Arroyo and despite a great game by Pietro Aradori (20 p., 8 r., 6 as.) got the 78-71 without feeling any real pressure. It was a team effort for the winners with four players, Harangody, Loncar, Lucic and Dubljevic scoring in double digits. Gonlum missed one free throw, one second before the end and Galatasaray missed the chance to have an advantage in case of tie with Valencia which has lost by 7 points in Istanbul.
