Jeremy Pargo and Maccabi Tel Aviv for three quarters were near the road win. However in the end Fenerbahce/ Ulker and Jan Vesely made a great come back and got the 80-72 win over the defending champions in the first game of their play offs series.
Vesely had his best game of the season with 23 points on 11/14 shots and 7 rebounds. He was the player who turned the game around as Maccabi with Pargo in a big night (25 p., 8 as.) was near the break. With eight minutes to go, Fenerbahce had a one point lead (62-61), but Maccabi couldn’t get any closer after that.
The Israelis were leading for three quarters, they played like champs, however Fenerbahce’s depth and effort made a difference in the end of a very hard contest.
