They needed overtime, but in the end the furious Fenerbahce/ Ulker got the 75-74 win, the 3-0 sweep over the champs, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and qualified for the first time ever in a Euroleague Final Four.

The winners, with Nikos Zisis scoring 13 points ended the first half with a six-point advantage (37-31). The guests kept the lead until the 35th minute, when Maccabi tied the score at 56. Both teams had the chance to win the game in regulation, Jeremy Pargo lost the last shot and that’s how we got to overtime (65-65). Andrew Goudelock (15 p.) finally made the big shot with 9 seconds to go and Jeremy Pargo (21 p.) couldn’t repeat his last effort.

This is a first for Fenerbahce/ Ulker, but not for its coach, Zeljko Obradovic, who will be a part of the Final Four for the 12th time of his career, having already won 8 titles. Also, Nikos Zisis (19 p., 5 as.) has participated in three Final Fours in the past, winning one title, and Jan Vesely (11 p.) also played once in a Final Four, back in 2010.
